NFC business card

The NFC business card where the hardware stays yours.

An NFC business card is two things: a tag that wakes a phone, and the page that opens next. Pubtact is the second half — a contact page worth landing on — and it works with any writable tag, so the tap is hardware and the card is a page.

Free to start, no card needed. Your page is live the moment you publish it.

A published Pubtact contact page an NFC tag can open

Why it works

The page half of an NFC business card.

Bring any tag

Write your Pubtact URL to any compatible NFC card, sticker or ring. No vendor-specific hardware required.

No lock-in on the tap

The tag stores an address; the page behind it stays yours to edit. Replace the tag anytime without reprinting anything.

One tap to save

The page opens on their phone with your details ready to save to contacts.

QR as the fallback

Phones that miss the tap scan the same page's QR — nobody leaves without your details.

At a glance

Which NFC tag to buy — the thirty-second version.

NTAG213~144 bytesYes, comfortably — a short handle URL is well under itThe default. Cheapest, everywhere, enough
NTAG215~504 bytesYesOnly if you also want other records on the same tag
NTAG216~888 bytesYesOverkill for a URL; pay for it only if repurposing

Buy blank, writable, non-locked tags from any electronics seller. A URL this short never needs the bigger chip — vendors upsell capacity the job cannot use.

How it works

Three steps, no app.

01

Publish your card

Claim a handle and build the contact page the tap will open.

02

Write the URL to a tag

Any free NFC-writing app copies your page's address onto a writable tag in seconds.

03

Tap, open, save

The receiver's phone opens your page; one tap saves your details.

Straight answer

The parts of this we do not control.

We sell no tags and cannot write one for you — you buy a blank NTAG213 or similar and write the URL yourself with a free app. Taps also fail on phones with NFC switched off, on iPhones older than the XR, and on any tag that shipped locked. Print the QR as the fallback rather than trusting the chip alone.
